Digital Learning Projects – 1st Grade

The first graders meet once a week in the computer lab to do all sorts of fun technology projects!  Here are some examples…

Digital Learning Projects – Kindergarten

There has been a LOT going on at Lincoln this year!! Want to see some examples of our work?  Read on…

Kindergarten: The Kindergarten students work in the computer lab with their teachers and Mrs. Yonts every week! We’ve made huge progress!  One of our favorite projects was creating a “Name Collage” using Pixie.  In order to do this project, students had to learn how to captialize letters (shift), highlight, change font (size, color, style), open, and save a document.  It was a lot of work, but the students did well.  Here are a few examples:

Students Create Auxilliary Tech Projects

A few of the fifth grade students have been meeting to create some auxilliary technology projects. One of the projects was to find some fun facts about a country using the online database CULTUREGRAMS, and then write a persuasive speech about why people would like to vacation there.  They decided to ‘deliver’ the speeches using an avatar created through VOKI.  Want to see and hear their work? Here at Lincoln Elementary School, our Library Media Center is welcoming, relevant, and useful for all patrons. In the LMC,  students and staff have a variety of opportunities to use and enjoy library and technology resources in order to foster creativity, innovation, and the development of life-long learning skills.
